Adding Flash to a webpage
Help with adding Flash to a web page : Adding a flash file to your webpage is as easy as adding an image file only you will have a .SWF file instead of a jpeg or bitmap for example. This .swf file is uploaded to your server as you would an image file. You will always recieve help adding any of our flash banners and headers to your web page if required.
Add Flash with Dreamweaver
Using Layers
1. Use top menu - Insert >>> Layer
2. Click inside the layer, then use top
menu - Insert >>> Media >>>
Flash
3. In the opened window browse
to where your file is stored and click ok.
4. Your flash .swf file will be inserted
in the layer which can now be positioned to where you want it to appear
on the page by simply dragging the layer. You may have to set the width
and height of the file using the Window >>> Properties
menu. You can preview it on the page when you do a "Preview in
browser" located on the File menu.
Not using Layers
1. Click on your webpage where you want to add
the Flash, then use top menu again - Insert >>>
Media >>> Flash
2. Use steps 3 and 4 as outlined above.
Adding Flash with Frontpage
1. Use top menu Insert
>>> Advanced >>> Plug-in
2. In the opened window click browse to
find where your .swf file is stored. Set the file size for Height and Width
and click ok.
3. Your flash swf will be inserted. You
can now preview it on the page, using the preview tab of Frontpage - (you
may need to save the web page first in order to see the preview)
Add Flash with Frontpage 2002
1. Use top menu Insert
>>> Web Component >>> Advanced
Controls >>> Plugin >>> Click Finish
and the Plug-in Properties box appears.
2. In the opened window box click browse
to find where your .swf file is stored. Set the file size for Height and
Width, click ok.
3. Your flash swf will be inserted. You
can now preview it on the page, using the preview tab of Frontpage.
